FBA Profit Calculator Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

How the FBA Profit Calculator (Free) Chrome extension by Gorilla ROI handles your data.

Data charts with bar, line, and pie graphs

The short version

This extension does not collect your data. It has no server of its own, no account, no analytics and no tracking. Everything you type stays in your own browser.

What the extension reads

When you click the extension's icon on an amazon.com product page, it reads that page to find the product's title, price (and, on a deal, the crossed-out price and savings percentage shown with it), ASIN, category (including Amazon's own product-group code for the item), sales rank, stated size and weight, who ships the order, and the delivery location Amazon shows for the page (the city and postcode, and the country Amazon records in the page). The delivery location is used only to check that Amazon is pricing the page for a US address; when it is not, the extension shows no figures. It is not stored and not included in a copied row. The extension reads only the page you are already looking at, only when you click, and only on amazon.com.

What you type in

Your costs for a product (unit cost, inbound shipping, prep, advertising and whether you entered it in dollars or as a percent, return rate, target monthly units) and the fee category you picked, if any, are stored on your own computer using the browser's local extension storage, filed under the product's ASIN with the time you last changed them. They are kept for the 50 products you most recently entered or changed them for. Any cost presets you save (up to 50), and whether your next copied row starts with a heading row, are stored the same way. None of it is sent anywhere. Removing the extension deletes it.

Amazon's Revenue Calculator

When you open the extension on a product page, it asks Amazon's own Revenue Calculator for that product's fee figures. If you are signed in to Amazon Seller Central, that request goes to Amazon using your browser's existing Amazon session, exactly as it would if you opened the Revenue Calculator yourself, and the calculation uses the package size and fees Amazon's calculator uses rather than our estimate. Amazon's signed-in calculator also asks for an anti-forgery token, which Amazon sends with its own reply; the extension passes it straight back to Amazon in the next request and never stores it. The requests carry the product's ASIN, the price read off the page and Amazon's product-group code for the item. They are only made when that price is in US dollars for a US delivery address.

If you are not signed in, the extension asks Amazon's guest calculator instead, the one behind Amazon's public Revenue Calculator page. Those requests carry the product's ASIN, the price shown on the product page and Amazon's product-group code for the item, read from the page or, if the page has none, from Amazon's calculator. Your browser attaches the cookies it holds for sellercentral.amazon.com to these requests, because Amazon's guest calculator refuses them without those cookies. The extension never reads those cookies, and they go only to Amazon. Amazon returns its fees but not the package size. If Amazon is busy, the extension tries once more after a few seconds; if that or any other request fails, it keeps its estimate, or the Amazon fees it had already loaded.

The extension never sees your Amazon password, and never reads or stores your Amazon cookies or session. The only sign-in detail it handles is the anti-forgery token described above, which goes back to Amazon and nowhere else.

Copying a row

When you click Copy row, the extension puts one spreadsheet row on your clipboard: the product's ASIN, title and amazon.com link (built from the ASIN, not the address you arrived by), the fees, your costs and the results. Your seller SKU goes in only if you click "Include SKU" for that copy. The row goes only where you paste it.

Links

The panel links to Amazon's fee help pages, to the product's own amazon.com page, and to gorillaroi.com. A link opens in a new tab only when you click it. The gorillaroi.com links carry tags that tell Gorilla ROI's website the visit came from this extension and which link was clicked; they carry nothing about you, the product or your figures. Once a site opens, that site's own privacy policy applies.

Your SKU

If Amazon identifies you as the owner of the listing, the extension shows your seller SKU for that product. It is only ever displayed to you. When you copy a row, the extension asks first whether to include the SKU, because a copied row is often pasted into a sheet other people can see.

What we do not do

  • We do not send your data to Gorilla ROI or to anyone else.
  • We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties.
  • We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or creditworthiness.
  • We do not use your data for anything unrelated to calculating the profitability of the product you are looking at.
  • We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts. All code in the extension is packaged with it.
